Where should our school start?

Start with the free introductory workshop unless the school already has a clearly defined requirement. The session provides a practical introduction to GUARD and allows the school to assess fit before committing to a pilot or extended pathway.

How do GUARD, AI & Coding and Quantum Computing fit together?

GUARD is WhizzStep's common judgement framework: goal clarity, limitations, evidence, respect for people and responsible decisions. AI & Coding helps students understand and build with data and models. Quantum Computing helps them explore qubits, gates, interference, algorithms and limitations. A school may begin with GUARD and add either technical pathway according to learner needs.

Which programme is best for students who already use generative AI?

GUARD is the most appropriate starting point because it addresses evidence, privacy, disclosure, human responsibility and when to revise, reject or escalate an AI output. Technical AI labs can then deepen understanding of why models behave as they do.

Which AI stage should we choose?

AI Discovery is for younger or first-time learners; AI Explorer introduces model behaviour and applied decisions; AI Builder is intended for older students ready to complete a more substantial project cycle. Final placement should depend on prior knowledge and the school objective, not class number alone.

Is Quantum Computing only for advanced mathematics students?

The introductory Quantum Discovery experience is conceptual and simulation-led. More advanced progression may introduce additional mathematical ideas, but the entry experience should not assume advanced mathematics or access to quantum hardware.

Delivery and technology
Are these one-off workshops or multi-session programmes?

Both formats are possible. Schools may begin with a 60–75 minute introduction, run a defined pilot cohort or agree a longer pathway with multiple sessions, assessment and a capstone. The exact structure must be confirmed in writing for each school.

Can the programme be delivered in school or online?

Delivery may be in school, online or blended where the activity and safeguarding arrangements support it. The agreed proposal should state the format, facilitator responsibilities, device plan and school supervision requirements.

What devices and internet access are required?

Most activities run in a modern browser and do not require installation, a public AI account or specialist quantum hardware. Some classroom formats can use shared devices or projection. The school should receive a specific technology checklist before delivery.

Do the simulations connect students directly to a live AI model?

The GUARD scenarios and core curated simulations are designed to work without connecting minors directly to a live public LLM. Where any future activity uses an external service, it must be disclosed and separately approved rather than assumed.

Assessment, privacy and evidence
How is student learning assessed?

GUARD uses scenario decisions, explanatory feedback, Decision Records, AI-use logs, knowledge checks and a capstone rubric. Assessment should examine reasoning and demonstrated competence — not attendance alone or a single automated score.

Does every participant receive a certificate or Competency Record?

Any completion document must accurately describe what the learner completed or demonstrated. A GUARD Competency Record is linked to defined evidence of learning, not issued merely for opening a simulation or attending one session.

What student data does WhizzStep collect?

Student-facing tools are designed to avoid collecting a name, email or school by default. Work is generally stored locally in the browser unless a school-approved process is explicitly agreed. The programme proposal identifies any data required for assessment or reporting and how it will be minimised.

Is the programme approved by CBSE, UNESCO or another institution?

WhizzStep may map content to relevant competency or curriculum themes, but this does not imply approval, endorsement or certification unless formally granted. Public wording uses "mapped to," "informed by" or "supports competencies described in."

Availability and next steps
Which programmes are available now?

GUARD tools, the rigorous Scenario Lab and the existing AI and Quantum browser labs are available as working resources. Workshops, pilots and longer cohorts are subject to scheduling and agreed scope. Planned educator or parent offers remain labelled as planned until ready for delivery.

How is pricing decided?

Pricing is provided after the school confirms cohort size, format, duration, facilitator requirement, travel where applicable and included materials. WhizzStep does not publish an invented fixed price or collect payment before scope and terms are agreed.

Can a school use the simulations without booking a programme?

The publicly available browser labs may be explored independently. A facilitated programme adds a structured sequence, discussion, assessment, safeguarding boundaries and educator resources that individual lab use does not provide by itself.

What happens after a pilot?

The school and WhizzStep review student work, teacher observations and anonymous feedback; identify what should change; and decide whether to stop, revise or extend the programme. Improvement claims are published only when supported by actual pilot evidence.

How do we request a workshop or pilot?
