Privacy Policy
This policy covers whizzstep.in and its interactive labs. It describes what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it.
What the school enquiry form collects
The enquiry form on the For Schools page is for an adult representing a school — a teacher, coordinator or school leader. When submitted, it sends the following to WhizzStep:
- contact name (required)
- role (required)
- school name (required)
- city (optional)
- work email address (required)
- phone number (optional)
- area of interest (workshop, certificate cohort, AI or Quantum programme, educator session, parent briefing or other)
- class range (optional)
- approximate cohort size (optional)
- preferred delivery mode (in-school, live online, hybrid, or not sure yet)
- a brief message (optional)
- your consent to be contacted about the enquiry (required)
The form also includes a hidden anti-spam field which is not used to identify you. Submissions are processed by a script on our own server and emailed to WhizzStep. We do not run a public form that collects information from individual students.
Browser storage in learning tools
Some WhizzStep learning tools use browser storage to preserve progress, decision records or locally generated learning information. Depending on the tool, this may be limited to the current browser session or may remain in local browser storage until the user clears it. Browser storage is local to the user's device and does not, by itself, transmit that information to WhizzStep.
Local storage — kept until cleared
These tools keep information in local browser storage, so it survives closing the tab or browser. It remains until the user clears it in the tool, clears browser/site data, or the application clears it:
- GUARD Diagnostic — your current question position and answers, so you can resume.
- GUARD Scenario Lab — your mission attempt records.
- GUARD Decision Record — the record you are drafting, saved as you type.
- AI-Use Log — the log entries you create.
Session storage — kept for the current session only
- GUARD Focused Labs — your current scenario and screen position, discarded when the browser session ends.
What this means
Browser-stored records remain on the user's own device and are not automatically transmitted to WhizzStep merely because they are stored locally. Clearing your browser's site data for whizzstep.in removes them, and they cannot be recovered by us.
The interactive AI and Quantum labs run entirely in the browser. Where a lab lets a learner type an optional first name or initials for on-screen personalisation, that name is not sent to our servers. Labs do not collect student email addresses, school names or phone numbers, and there is no cross-lab account or progress tracking.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical server logs (for example IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and performance. We do not use these logs to build individual profiles.
Third parties
We load fonts from Google Fonts and, on pages that embed one, a video from YouTube (via youtube-nocookie.com). These providers may process technical data under their own privacy policies. We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Retention and deletion
School enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on the enquiry. To ask us to correct or delete information you have submitted, email contact@whizzstep.in.
